I can’t tell you how many movies I’ve seen where the bad guys’ headquarters are discreetly located on fifth avenue with a nice shiny modern-looking sign. It doesn’t seem to resonate with their ideas of secrecy, but then again how else would we, as viewers, determine where all the bad guys were? I mean, besides the obvious signs of moral turpitude.

I’m thinking a bright shiny sign for an international crime syndicate makes about as much sense as that falling down house with frequent visitors and slightly singed garage supposedly NOT being a sign for crack cocaine/other various methamphetamine distribution.
