What does it mean to you?

cag-art

Boats are awesome. Boats with a motor? Even better.  But don’t get me wrong I would happily take a canoe if you’re offering. Cat and Girl is a different style of art than most. From my viewpoint I think 1950′s.

Is there a true meaning in art or literature or is it subjective to the viewer? If someone writes with the intent to convey one meaning, but the reader takes away a different message, does this make the reader wrong? Sure they took something away from it, but is the subjective lesson they learned wrong because it is not what the author wanted them to take away? Or is the reader correct because art and literature are subjective? If someone doesn’t understand the meaning the author attempts to convey but takes away another message are they wrong? If someone hands you a note written in Russian and you just assume it is a thank you note but it in fact says “If you throw this away I will kill you!” then you may have taken away a different meaning such as “oh, look at the pretty weird letters”, but you are in fact wrong. Is the viewer then always right or is it the author/painter?

Will it blend?

Unicorns are fascinating. Not fascinating like I’m an overweight acne scarred 37 year old living with his mom, but fascinating like who would think up such a thing? According to Alaska Robotics, unicorns tast like a good lobster, which is probably why they never really made it anywhere.

But back to my main point. Who thought it would be cool to take a horse and add… a HORN!!! because we all know that horses are much better with horns. Yeah, they can fly, but you really can’t ride them because that dadgum horn is in your way.

By the way, if this were an actuality, PETA would be pissed. Or would it be PETMC (people for the ethical treatment of mythological creatures)? doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Compromise

20090616Texting is not that personal, so when you text about things that are personal, it’s out of place. Kind of like Bozo the clown was just an awkward show for kids, texting is an awkward form of communication. Seeing that neither are inherantly bad, but both are intermnibally creepy.

Hash, not just smokeable.

iranelectionsSo Twitter is crazy today. Normally I’m on there only to post updates/find out what people laugh about/laugh at people/reply in vain to Heidi Montag but today is just silliness. There are easily over (a lot) of tweets about the Iranian Elections, and the great protests. Whether Ahmadinejad cheated, or whatever. It’s hilarious.

Don’t write me off, I don’t find oppression funny at all, but I do find it hialrious the way outrages are Fads now. If you haven’t hashed #iranelection today, you lose. By the way, this is #iranelection RIGHT NOW!

Microsoft Paint. Yo.

Bond doesn’t care for MI (6…?)

2009-06-15-deathlaserPNG

After a slew of political commentary and funniness, I now give you a little bit more of the same. Could I have posted an old comic about Bowel Movements and public places? Most assuredly so. Did I post about how no one really cares about the God forsaken northland? But of course!

Let’s review, Michigan has given us, The Detroit Lions, Kid Rock, easy access to the states for Canadians, an affirmitave action suit for college admission, the U.P., Jim Bakker, The U.S. auto industry, Bozo, NO LEFT TURNS,  Iggy Pop,Verne Troyer, and Uncle Kracker. I’d say Bond is making a very conscientious decision.

But they did give us Dave Coulier, and uncle Joey was everyone’s favorite. So Dave Coulier has once again saved many lives… Kudos.
