Doodles brought to life.

lukesurl-abc

This comic brings back so many memories of the hours spent in classes during high school, the more hours spent staring at professors in college, and most recently, an arduous team meeting at work where the material was so incredibly dry and poorly presented that I reverted back to the coping mechanisms of my earlier days. Doodling.

Lacking artistic ability though (as evidenced by writing about webcomics instead of writing them), I tended to use the pages I had and just added to their value with my adventuring stick figures. The little stick figures would usually be having epic battles, hiding behind the “A” and shooting at the guy hunkered down in the trench between two other words. There would usually be a stick figure in a fedora swinging from a whip on the bottom of a boring graph.

So cheers to Luke Surl at http://www.lukesurl.com for this excellent piece that reminded me of my childhood, teens, tweens, and that miserable meeting last month.
