TV Science

I hate the show CSI… Or maybe I just hate people that watch CSI and then expect people to really do those sorts of things. Funny story but the police don’t usually spend hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars in equipment whenever they find a hooker in a seedy motel that overdosed on cocaine.
There is some movie where the guy is playing on his computer editing photos and he keeps saying “Enhance… Enhance…” As he clicks zoom and sharpen. He is being funny of course, but digital photos really don’t work that way.
MythBusters is a great show. I love watching the guys mess around with things. But 99% of the time I disagree with their “result” based on simple flaws in their experimental model. For the most part it is impossible to scientifically disprove that this one thing possibly happened, because they can’t always recreate the conditions.
I’m tabbing back and forth playing a computer game and I just realized that this post has no point or a single coherent line of thought. Mere random statements about TV, but that’s all right I suppose.
But robots really are going to take over the world.
