Typos are prevalent today. Only because everything now is so blazingly fast and instant, spell check doesn’t really come in first place. I would hate to be an editor for some of these news outlets. Mainly because instead of meeting a 9 P.M. press deadline, you have to meet 100 different deadlines in an hours time. Will we see newspapers die? No. Just like we won’t see magazines die. Sure, there are much faster and less austere ways to obtain information, but I think there is still something to be said of quality. Not that you can’t have quality in a blog post (specifically one’s dealing with this issue) but the editorial process just makes things better.
