Prime Time.

Prime time television drama is a funny topic. Possibly to easy to make into a satirical rendition of cartoon-esque proportions, but still funny. And some of them end up being watchable, even through the standard non-wavering plotlines. It’s the shows that try and buck the trend that end up flopping on their hind quarters.
Like anything else, this could be viewed as some over-arching theme of american entertainment, but I find it humorous. Mainly because they always have super serious teasers for new shows saying things like, “you’ve never seen anything like this before” “a show that will change your life” “you’ve never seen Luke Perry so vulnerable” “I have a deep voice” and the ever famous, “Tori Spelling is a cheap prostitue that no one understands”. Oh, and also shows about teenage angst and the lives they lead because of it are a definite hit amongst females 14-27 and males 45-46 who still live with their mother.
